Terms of Service

The rules for using Miss Lucy, including Premium and payments in Telegram Stars.

These terms apply to Miss Lucy: the Telegram bot @MissLucy_bot, its Mini App, the web console at app.misslucytg.com, and this website. Miss Lucy is operated by Chris Watson. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean the operator, and “you” means anyone who uses Miss Lucy. Lucy is the assistant inside the service.

By adding Lucy to a group, using the Mini App or the web console, or buying Premium, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Miss Lucy.

1. What Miss Lucy does

Miss Lucy helps the admins of Telegram groups keep spam and abuse out.

  • Lucy scores new members and messages. When something looks wrong, she mutes the member, holds them, and sends the evidence to the group’s admins.
  • Lucy never bans anyone on her own. A person decides every ban. Admins can undo a ban from the same card or from the app.
  • Detection can be wrong in both directions. Lucy can hold a real person, and she can miss a spammer. Admins stay responsible for the decisions they make in their groups.

2. Telegram’s terms come first

Miss Lucy runs on Telegram. You must follow Telegram’s Terms of Service, and we follow Telegram’s Bot Developer Terms. If these terms conflict with Telegram’s terms, Telegram’s terms apply.

3. Your responsibilities as an admin

When you add Lucy to a group, or manage a group with her, you agree that:

  • You are an admin of that group, or the group’s owner allows you to add her.
  • You use Lucy to moderate your group, and for nothing else. You do not use her to track, profile, or harass people.
  • You make your own ban, mute, warning, and release decisions, and you are responsible for them.
  • You tell your members, for example in the group rules, that the group uses a moderation bot. The Privacy Policy explains what Lucy stores about them.

4. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • Attack, overload, or try to break Miss Lucy, its API, or its infrastructure.
  • Try to get access to groups, data, or features that you are not allowed to use.
  • Use Miss Lucy to send spam, to scrape data about members, or to break any law.
  • Resell or copy the service, or present it as your own.

We can limit or stop your access if you break these rules.

5. Free plan and Premium

Free. Spam protection is free for every group. The free plan has fair limits. For example, image spam checks are limited to 500 per group in each 30-day period. We describe the current limits on the pricing page.

Premium adds AI rules for your group’s own content, a profile photo scan when someone joins, image checks for every member (3,000 per group in each 30-day period), and full Insights history.

  • Price. 250 Telegram Stars per group for each 30-day period.
  • Per group. Premium applies to one group. Each group needs its own subscription.
  • Payment. You pay inside Telegram with Telegram Stars. We never see your card or bank details. Before you pay, the app shows a link to these terms, and you confirm that you agree.
  • Renewal. Premium is a Telegram Stars subscription. It renews every 30 days until you cancel it.
  • Cancel. You can cancel any time from your Telegram Stars settings. When you cancel, Premium stays on until the end of the period you paid for. Then the group returns to the free plan.
  • When Premium ends. Your content rules stay saved, but Lucy stops the AI scans. Spam protection keeps working.

6. Refunds and payment support

Send /paysupport to @MissLucy_bot, or write to @MissLucySupport, for any payment problem.

  • If Premium does not work as described for your group and we cannot fix it, we refund the Stars for the affected period through Telegram.
  • If we charge you by mistake, for example twice for the same group, we refund the extra payment.
  • We answer payment requests within 7 days.

Telegram support cannot help with purchases made through Miss Lucy. Contact us instead. If we refuse a valid refund request, Telegram’s Stars terms describe how to report it to Telegram.

7. Changes to the service and to prices

We improve Miss Lucy over time, and features can change.

  • We tell you before a significant change to what Lucy does in your group, and where we can, we let you opt out.
  • We tell you at least 14 days before a price change. A price change never affects a period you already paid for.

8. Availability

We work to keep Miss Lucy running, but we do not promise that it is always available or free of errors. Telegram outages, maintenance, or limits can stop Lucy from working for a time. During an outage, Lucy cannot hold members, and nothing is banned automatically.

9. Ending your use

  • You can stop using Miss Lucy at any time. Remove her from your group, or stop the bot in your private chat. The Privacy Policy explains what happens to your data.
  • We can suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms or Telegram’s terms.
  • If we stop operating Miss Lucy, we tell you in advance where we can, stop renewals, and delete user data as the Privacy Policy describes.

10. Disclaimers and limits

Miss Lucy is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows:

  • We do not promise that Lucy catches all spam or that every hold is correct.
  • We are not responsible for decisions that admins make, or for content that members post.
  • Our total liability to you for any claim about Miss Lucy is limited to the Stars you paid us for Premium in the 30 days before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits rights that you have under the law and that cannot be limited by contract.

11. Changes to these terms

When we change these terms, we update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we also tell group admins through the bot or the app before the change applies. If you keep using Miss Lucy after the change, you accept the new terms.
